The 1989 comedy from National Lampoon starring Chevy Chase as Clark Griswold trying to plan the perfect Christmas for his family is back on TV channels and streaming services during the holiday season. For years, Americans have tuned in to watch Griswold's child-like enthusiasm for the holiday constantly get derailed.

Beyond Chase as the lead, the movie also features an all-star cast of iconic actors including Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Beverly D'Andelo and Randy Quaid.

National Lampoon's "Christmas Vacation" has aired on AMC throughout December, and will be shown regularly with other holiday classics including "Elf" and "Four Christmases" as part of AMC's Best Christmas Marathon running Dec. 23-25. It will also be aired on AMC Dec. 26 for the Holiday Hangover marathon.

"Christmas Vacation" is also airing on IFC Friday, Dec. 22 at 8:15 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.
